The 5-channel DX5 uses full-range DSM2™ technology and includes an impressive list of programming features for both airplanes and helicopters that are simple to access and use. Of course it works great with robots too! This package comes with the Dx5 transmitter and a Spektrum AR6110e Receiver. The main reason is the AR6110e has fail safe settings so if the receiver does not get a transmission (out of range, interference or transmitter turned off) it fails to a preset position as opposed to the AR6000 that just keeps sending the last command as your robot drives away... This package does not include any servos.

We have had great success with this radio and receiver. With the spread Spektrum frequency hopping system we get great range and reliability regardless of the other 2.4GHz systems around like routers and phones. The other benefit of 2.4GHz is most motor noise and mechanical noise/interference is well below this frequency which often causes issues with the 72 and 75MHz radio systems.

Spektrum’s 2.4GHz DSM2 Technology gets even smaller with the AR6110e 6-channel DSM2 Microlite Park Flyer Receiver with End Pins, which is ideal for small compact airframes. The AR6110e weighs less than 4.3 grams, making it a light 6-channel aircraft receiver option. Antenna locations give the AR6110e improved signal path diversity. The receiver also features a red LED that indicates the number of holds that have occurred since the receiver was last powered on. The AR6110e is compatible with all aircraft DSM2 radios and module systems. It is designed for parkflyer use only.
