This kit is our favorite for the money. The kit includes a front bumper switch that stops the trekker when the sensors miss something. An IR detector for the front bumper switch or the back. A scanning Ultrasonic sensor on the top so the Trekker can detect obstacles and look for an alternate path or follow walls.
As with all Trekker Kits with the OOPic II Expansion Card, this one can be expanded later by adding additional sensors, LCDs, etc., which will all plug directly into the OOPic II Expansion Card.
The Robot Kit includes the following:
(1) Trekker Chassis - TD-001-000
(1) OOPic II Ready Expansion Card - TE-001-000
(1) Trekker IR Scanner Package - TS-008-000
(1) Trekker Bumper Switch Package - TS-010-000
(1) Trekker Top Single Sweeping Scanner Bracket Kit - TS-003-000
(1) Trekker Sweeping SRF04 Ultrasonic Scanner Package - TS-006-004
Please note this is set up slightly different than the Intermediate Trekker-R with the OOPic-R or the Intermediate Plus Trekker-R with the OOPic-R.
Example code and assembly instructions are included on our Trekker download page. Videos of the Trekker are on our video page.

Option Notes:
- As a default no controller is selected. If you don't have your own OOPic II, II+, III, or III+, select the controller that you want to use in the options. We offer the OOPic III and III+ for this kit. If you need the programming cable select a starter package. See our OOPic Store Category for more details.
- The standard wheels are 3.5" foam wheels with ball casters. The enhanced wheel upgrade replaces the 3.5" wheels with an enhanced wheel set. The ball caster wheels are still included with the upgrade so you can use either rear caster.
- If you select and fully assembled robot kit, you do not need to select modified servos too. Modified servos are part of the assembly. If you select a fully assembled robot kit, it will be completely built, programmed, tested and ready to go out of the box!
