This is a very versatile and economical robot kit. The Trekker-R package includes a sweeping ultrasonic and IR scanner to the Trekker-R. The sweeping scanner allows the Trekker to follow walls, scan for obstacles, and look for alternate paths.

As with all Trekker Kits with the OOPic-R Expansion Card, this one can be expanded later by adding additional sensors, LCDs, etc., which will all plug directly into the OOPic-R Expansion Card.

Option Notes:

• As a default no controller is selected.  If you don't have your own OOPic R, select the controller that you want to use in the options.  If you need the serial programming cable select a starter package.  See our OOPic Store Category for more details. 
• The standard wheels are 3.5" foam wheels with ball casters. The enhanced wheel upgrade replaces the 3.5" wheels with an enhanced wheel set. The ball caster wheels are still included with the upgrade so you can use either rear caster.
• If you select a fully assembled robot kit, you do not need to select modified servos too. Modified servos are part of the assembly. If you select a fully assembled robot kit, it will be completely built, programmed, tested and ready to go out of the box!
