Overview:

The 6-channel DX6i uses full-range DSM2� technology and includes an impressive list of programming features for both airplanes and helicopters that are simple to access and use. Of course it works great with robots too! A standard DX6i comes with a AR6200 DSM2 6-channel receiver, but we have replaced it with the Spektrum BR6000 Bot Receiver. The main reason is the BR6000 has fail safe settings so if the receiver does not get a transmission (out of range, interference or transmitter turned off) it fails to a preset position as opposed to the AR6000 that just keeps sending the last command as your robot drives away... This package does not include any servos.

We have had great success with this radio and receiver.  With the spread Spektrum frequency hopping system we get great range and reliability regardless of the other 2.4GHz systems around like routers and phones.  The other benefit of 2.4GHz is most motor noise and mechanical noise/interference is well below this frequency which often causes issues with the 72 and 75MHz radio systems.
