Finally, the future is so close you can see it now – a better way to work in dangerous, dirty, and remote environments using a biped, humanoid robot that we call “Rocky”. Our proofs of concept are done and we’ve been putting him through multiple agility and strength tests as we refine this robot to launch in 2024. (Rocky will be available on our other mobility bases in 2023.)
Since we started SuperDroid Robots over 20 years ago, we always envisioned an affordable, highly capable, remotely operated biped robot, but the technology wasn’t there just yet. That time has nearly come and this robot is built to work!
Rocky is a two-armed, humanoid robot that walks on two legs, up stairs, and over obstacles. He comes armed with different options of hands and can be operated remotely from across the globe, known as telepresence. In fact, one operator can work from a single office or even at home and log into numerous robots spread out across the globe throughout a single shift.
This robot is ideal for working in dangerous environments such as industrial plants or manufacturing facilities and in remote areas such as oil rigs and data centers spread out across the globe. Rocky can inspect miles of pipeline and provide surveillance inside and outside.
