This is a prebuilt Heavy Duty ATR robot with 10 inch tires. The Heavy Duty ATR supports each wheel shaft with two sealed ball bearings and is chain driven with a 10:15 reduction. See the HD ATR ATR building support page for more details. We have included everything to make it ready to run including batteries, controllers, chargers, etc.
This robot is built and ready to go! Please allow 1-2 days for packaging prior to shipment. This robot has two functional encoders included with the motors, but they are not hooked up. We have included a RC controller with it, but it could be replaced with a microcontroller or a larger channel radio for pan and tilt camera system, etc.
Please contact us if you need this robot customized. Using the 122 RPM gear motors, 10:15 chain reduction, 10 inch tires, 24VDC lead acid, the measured speed was 240 fpm. The robot is about 19.75" wide and 23" long (edge of wheels to edge of wheels). The robot has a 3.75" ground clearance. The total weight of the assembled robot with batteries, wheels, etc is 38 lbs. The list below shows the current draw for different scenarios. (1st number is without extra weight / 2nd number is with 14lbs added)

This small synchronous switching step-down (or buck) regulator takes an input voltage of up to 38 V and efficiently reduces it to 5 V. The board measures only 0.7″ × 0.8″, but it allows a typical continuous output current of up to 5 A.
