This is a custom robot based on a combination of our popular HD2 platform and our SD6 robot. Mechanically its an HD2, but with the SD6 controls (NI Labview and a cRIO.) A FLIR camera mounted on a 12ft Zippermast gives the robot unmatched surveillance capabilities.
The standard SD6 control package includes a National Instruments CompactRIO embedded controller programmable by the LabVIEW graphical development environment for rapid prototyping and deployment. A LIDAR sensor is also included with the package. LabVIEW example programs for the SD6 can be downloaded from ni.com/code/robotics.
See our HD2 robot for more information on the platform this was built on. We included the option to widen the robot 6 inches to make room for the 12-foot zippermast and designed a custom lid to cover the mast.
An Etrovision Video Server, 2 IR Cameras and a FLIR T640 are used for vision.

This set of wheelchair motors makes great heavy duty robot motors. One left motor and one right motor. They are right angle gear drives have been modified to include encoders. They are 24VDC and the operating speed is 120 RPM.
These are 4" inch diameter Mecanum wheels with custom shafts, lock collars, and bearings.
