Description:

The High Precision Indoor Navigation System (Complete Set) is a system of stationary ultrasonic beacons connected by radio interface in ISM band. Location of a mobile beacon installed on a robot (drone, human) is calculated based on the propagation delay of ultrasonic signal to a set of stationary ultrasonic beacons using trilateration. The kit consists of one mobile beacon with built in IMU, four stationary beacons and one router.

Beacons:

Beacons are mounted on walls or ceilings to measure distance to other beacons and the “hedgehog” using ultrasonic pulses. They communicate with the router wirelessly in ISM band. Powered by a LiPo battery or USB.

Mobile beacon ("hedgegog"):

These are installed on robots and connected to it via UART or SPI or I2C or USB. Calculated coordinates (±2cm) are sent to the router and updated 16 times per second. The data from the built in IMU can be accessed and used to aid in autonomous navigation. Powered by a LiPo battery or USB or from a robot.

Router:

The router is the central controller of the system which calculates position of the mobile beacon (“hedgehog”) 16 times per second based on data from beacons. They communicate via USB with the dashboard and with beacons wirelessly in ISM band.
