This is a rugged frame designed and fabricated by SuperDroid Robots in NC USA. It's made of 1/8" thick aluminum that is designed for our IG52 gear motors and is cut to the width required by the Nexus 8" Mecanum Wheels. It is intended for use with the 8 inch Nexus Mecanum Wheel and Shaft Set. We also sell the IG52 DB Heavy Duty Vectoring Robot Platform as a complete robot kit.
The chassis is gusseted and is designed to house eight flanged double-sealed ball bearings to support the chain-driven wheels. It is an extremely rugged well built robot. It has the ability to drive around with very heavy loads. There are slots on the outside of the chassis that allow easy assembly of the motor and chains and adjustment of the chain tension. Each of the four axles are driven by a large and powerful IG52 Gear motor via a roller chain to yield a very smooth and slip free mode of operation. This robot is designed for loads up to 150lbs. See our ATR page for more details.
