This is our recently revised Deluxe ATR Chassis. It has been revised to remove the back slope so more batteries and controls can be installed. It is an extremely rugged well built robot. It was originally designed as a water tight robot to go into mines. The robot is entirely enclosed and can be used in all weather conditions. The wheels are axle mounted and supported using two sealed ball bearings. Each of the four axles are driven by a large and powerful IG42 Gear motor via a roller chain to yield a very smooth and slip free mode of operation. This robot is designed for loads greater than 20lbs. For loads greater than 35lbs you need to go with lower gear ratio motors and pneumatic tires. The biggest issue with weight is pivot turns on carpet and grass takes a great deal of torque to skid steer.

The ends of the shafts are exposed on the inside if you wish to mount encoders to them. Or you can select gear motors with encoders on them. There are side access panels that allow easy assembly of the motor and chains and adjustment of the chain tension.
The chassis frame is made of 1/8" thick aircraft grade aluminum. The design uses all laser cut parts with mortise and tenon design for precise alignment and mating of the parts. The covers are tinted acrylic that is also laser cut to match the holes of the mating flanges that are tapped after the laser cutting. A galvanized metal cover for shielding EMF is provided for going over the four motors which are mounted in the center. A middle tray is also provided that mounts on top of the motors for mounting your batteries, camera system, and/or electronics. The chassis is completely welded using TIG and MIG.
Gaskets are also provided for sealing the acrylic covers. All the necessary motor mounting hardware, chains, sprockets, etc. are provided as part of the chassis. The chains provide a 10:15 reduction motor to wheel shaft.

The ROS SLAM is a programmable autonomous robot built on the Robot Operating System (ROS). It is controlled using a USB gamepad and the ROS Visualization (RViz) application.
The RunCam 2 HD camera is designed for the FPV Racers. This mini HD camera provides high-resolution video and images at 1080P @60fps or 720P @120fps.
