Description:

The UM4 robot is a complete robot kit including the robot, camera/video system, control system, and charging station. The robot is a very portable weighing only 14.5 pounds. Each of its 4 wheels are driven by independent powerful gear motors. The system comes with everything you need to go to work, whether it’s inspecting crawl spaces under houses or providing a first line of defense in tactical situations. The built in infrared camera allow you to see in total darkness, under normal light it’s a high quality color image. The video is displayed real time on the included 7" wide color LCD. The robot comes in multiple configurations, see the options at the bottom of the page or contact us for your own custom configuration.

Applications:

  • Hostage and hazardous surveillance - Survey hostile/hazardous situations staying out of harm’s way.
  • Clearing rooms remotely - Clear rooms and buildings remotely with audio and video surveillance.
  • Remote Surveillance - The pan and tilt camera with IR allows the robot to see everything.
  • Entry into difficult areas: - This 4WD robot is very quick and has the ability to traverse many obstacles quickly and effectively.

Standard Configuration:

This tactical surveillance robot comes with the recommended and most popular set up. By changing, adding or removing features at the bottom of this page you can configure the robot to suit your needs and budget.

  • Platform: This 4WD enclosed robot comes complete with 6" tires, motors, motor controllers, batteries.
  • Protective Equipment: Integrated roll cage that doubles as a carrying handle.
  • Camera System: Integrated low profile pan and tilt system with color camera and IR LED total darkness night vision.
  • Tactical OCU: Custom built tactical handheld remote with a color 7" LCD monitor.
  • Battery Charging: Multiple smart chargers mounted in a single carrying case. The chargers are for the 24V motor batteries, 12V video/control battery, and 12V control console battery. The chargers are fully automatic and will charge all the batteries simultaneously.
  • Speed: 0 to 300 feet per minute, infinitely adjustable/controllable.
  • Robot Run Time: Up to 8 hours.
  • Weight: Assembled robot: 14.5lbs.
  • Dimensions: Total height (floor to top of roll cage): 10 inches, total width: 12.75 inches, total length: 14.75 inches.
  • Assembly: The entire robot will be assembled, configured, tested, and supported by our professionally trained staff here in NC.

  • Controller Options: We have multiple radio and controller options available to fit your budget. Our analog radios are available in a range of handhelds and rugged enclosed cases. Our digital remotes are available with a military grade COFDM radio for superior range and performance and our new digital option that’s comparable in price to our analog system and comparable in performance to our COFDM system. For more detailed information on our available controllers, please see our support page.
  • Secondary Monitoring: Add an additional handheld monitoring station to provide information to other teams.
  • Lights: This add-on provides the user with an option to add remotely operated high intensity LED lights to illuminate the darkness.
  • Robot Microphone (for Audio from Robot to Remote): This add-on installs a microphone on the robot. The microphone is a high quality microphone that is meant for listening to large areas. The microphone will be mounted to the robot and the audio will be transmitted back with the video transmitter via the audio channel. The audio will be broadcast real time on the 7"; Color LCD. Volume of the audio can be adjusted on the 7" monitor. The gain, etc of the microphone is set up on the microphone on the robot.
  • PA System (for Audio from Remote to the Robot): This add-on allows the user to use a hand held radio to broadcast to the robot through a loud speaker PA system. Using this option along with the above microphone allows 2 way communication between the remote users and the robot.
  • Store and Protect: Protect your investment with an optional Pelican Transport Case.

Delivery:

  • This robot is built to order based on the options selected below. Please allow 3-6 weeks for shipment.
  • Actual delivery may vary based on workload, contact us for a more accurate delivery time.

Warranty:

  • SuperDroid Robots will repair any manufacturing defects for 1 Year after shipment. Damage from abuse or neglect will not be covered. Warranty work performed by SuperDroid Robots in West Chicago, IL. Warranty does not include shipping. Additional warranty options are available upon request.
  • Consumable items will not be covered by the warranty. Consumable items include, but are not limited to treads, chains, bearings, wheels, and batteries.
  • Extended warranties, spare parts, and maintenance training is available, contact us with specific needs. Service agreements are also available.

This option adds LED lights to the roll cage along with the controls to turn them on and off. The UM4 comes with a night vision IR camera by default; these lights add illumination in the dark.
