Heavy Duty Mower

Remote Control Slope Electric 25 inch Lawn Mower - 4WD

Contact us to see if there are any left!

This robot is driven by the 13-inch tires and heavy-duty wheelchair motors. The 4WD system allows the mower to climb steep slopes and terrain. This mower is faster, more powerful and has a longer run time than our previous 4WD mower. This slope mower can handle steep hills and inclines up to 38 degrees. It uses a double-bladed 25-inch wide deck for mowing. The electric mower means oil distribution on slopes won't be an issue.

The frame of this robot is made from tube steel and heavy gauge steel cut on our CNC plasma table. It is welded together in a jig we set up so the lawnmower inserts into the frame using the existing wheel mounts, which also lets you set the height of the deck. 75 RPM motors provide the mower with more power for ascending slopes. The robot is fully assembled, tested and ready to run.

Re-Designed Lawn Mower

The specifics for this lawn mower are yet to be determined, based on feedback we get from users.

This model may be a 4WD electric slope mower with remote start and stop, video feed on the remote controller to see what's around the mower, multiple hour runtime, and possibly other upgrades from the previous model.

Email us at info@sdrobots.com to join the mailing list specifically for this product and hear updates.

There's more info just below about the re-design and our development process.

Re-designing our mower

We temporarily paused production of this product to design the latest model.

Designing robots that are useful in the real world is very important to us, so we turn to customer feedback and requests to understand the specifics of how the product should be improved.

How long will the re-design take? Once we've learned enough about how the ideal remote control lawn mower should work, this robot will move to the next development stage. Our goal is not just another lawn mower, but a great solution for our customers.

Looking to get one of our new mowers as soon as possible? Good news – by giving thumbs up's / down's on this page, you're helping us with the design process. (Thanks!) The more feedback we get about our new design, the better we understand the requirements and the faster this stage goes. Be sure to tell your friends and colleagues about this page too!

Our standard development process

Idea

When we notice a trend in customer requests or stories of when 'there must be a better way' we start to envision how a robot can be used to help.

Definition

This is when we learn about design specifications like requirements, feature requests, etc.

Prototype

Using our in-house machines, we fabricate a working prototype of the new design.

Design

This is when the rubber meets the road and our engineers design every minute detail for how the robot works for this use case.

Testing

We test the new design in use-case conditions. For some products, this stage includes pilot projects.

Commercially available

The robot is available to order! For some products, they may have been available to pre-order before this stage as well.

This product is currently in stage 2 of the development process. The stages don't take equal amounts of time.

Why use a remote control lawnmower?

If you hate mowing the grass in the blistering summer heat, you'll want to check out our hardworking robots.

Remote Control Operation

These amazing robots:

  • get the operator out of the elements
  • away from dangerous slopes that need to be mown
  • out of potholes and ruts that aren't visible 'till you've stepped in them
  • and more!

Standard Lawnmower Units

We typically use standard lawnmowers in these units, making repairs easy.

Versatile Applications

Our remote-controlled lawn mowers are ideal for small commercial properties, homeowners, and people that prefer to have fun with their chores.

Accessible Functionality

We've built a number of these robots for handicapped and elderly homeowners that love the satisfaction of getting the job done themselves.

Easy Storage

These mowers take up less space than a traditional mower because they don't have the handlebar. They can also easily be driven into their parking space.
