Description:

This is our HD2-S with a multi-axis robotic arm. This robot package is complete including the robot, your choice of a controller, the battery chargers, and complete assembly and testing. The robot is built to order by us (SuperDroid Robots Inc.) in NC, USA. See the HD2 Support page for more details of the HD2 and the Custom Robot Arm Support Page for more details on the arm itself. We offer many Tactical controllers. The pictured robot has a 5-axis arm, as well as a few additional features (available below).

Applications:

• Hostage and hazardous surveillance - Survey hostile/hazardous situations staying out of harm's way.
• Opening Doors - With the Multi-axis arm, things like doors will no longer stop you from surveying potentially dangerous locations.
• Clearing rooms remotely - Clear rooms and buildings remotely with audio and video surveillance.
• Remote Surveillance - The 360 Pan and tilt with 27X optical zoom camera with low light vision and high intensity LED lights allow the robot to see everything.
• Remote Manipulation - Pick up or move suspicious objects without putting anyone in harms way.
• Bomb Disposal - Our UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) is a excellent choice to keep people out of harms way when it comes to bomb diffusing and removal (pipe, pressure cooker, etc).

Standard Configuration:

The HD2-S with Multi-Axis Arm comes with the recommended and most popular set up. By changing, adding or removing features at the bottom of this page you can configure the robot to suit your needs and budget.

• Platform: This weatherproof HD2-S robot with Multi-Axis Arm comes complete with chassis, motors, motor controllers, batteries, and tracks.
• Special Feature: Direct Drive 4-Axis Arm.
  • Shoulder rotation: 180 degrees.

  • Arm payload: 20+ pounds fully extended.
  • Upgradeable to a 5-axis arm to provide a 360 degree rotating base.
  • Upgradeable to include clutches and/or feedback/position control. Contact us to discuss this option.
• Camera System: An Enclosed PTZ camera is mounted to the main chassis and has 360 degree pan, 90 degree tilt, and 27X optical zoom. If the 5th axis is selected for the arm, this camera will be mounted to the rotating base of the arm.
• Tactical OCU: For this robot, the best Operator Control Unit (OCU) for the money is SuperDroid Robots digital enclosed case remote offering great performance, channel hopping, encrypted video and control.
• Battery Charging: The chargers are fully automatic and will charge all the batteries simultaneously.
• Robot Run Time: Up to 8 hours.
• Speed: 0 to 2 ft per second, infinitely adjustable/controllable.
• Weight: ~110 lbs.

• Assembly: The entire robot will be assembled, configured, tested, and supported by our professionally trained staff here in NC.

Available Options:

• Controller Options: We have multiple radio and controller options available to fit your budget. Our analog radios are available in a range of handhelds and rugged enclosed cases. Our digital remotes are available with a military grade COFDM radio for superior range and performance and our new digital option that’s comparable in price to our analog system and comparable in performance to our COFDM system. • Arm Axis: Add an additional base axis allowing the arm to rotate without moving the robot. This provides more mobility in tight situations.
• Upgrade the IR forearm camera to a IR Camera Mounted on forearm and fixed front and rear IR cameras:
  • This optional camera adds front and rear fixed IR cameras in addition to the forearm camera.
  • The front and rear cameras are Wide View Color Infra Red Camera with 7 IR LEDs
  • If selected the controls will be included to switch between the cameras with the remotes listed above.
• LED lights: This option includes two LED lights mounted on the top of the PTZ camera. The lights will follow the camera with the pan and tilt.
• PA System (for Audio from Remote to the Robot). This add-on allows the user to broadcast to the robot through a loud speaker PA system. Using this option along with the above microphone allows 2 way communication between the remote users and the robot.
• Robot Microphone (for Audio from Robot to Remote). This add-on installs a microphone on the robot. The microphone is a high quality microphone that is meant for listening to large areas. The microphone will be mounted to the robot and the audio will be transmitted back with the video transmitter via the audio channel. The audio will be broadcast real time to the remote. The gain, etc. of the microphone is set up on the microphone on the robot via an onboard amplifier.
• Store and Protect: Protect your investment with a foam lined shipping and transport case.
• Additional Customization Options: This robot can be further customized in myriad ways, including alteration of control systems to make the robot capable of more advanced functionality such as position control and inclusion of clutches with position memory (allows the arm to slip if too much force is applied, then return to its prior position as soon as the pressure is released). It can also be customized to operate on WiFi, Zigbee, etc.

Delivery:

• This robot is built to order based on the options selected below. Please allow 6-14 weeks for shipment.
• This robot when crated will weigh in excess of 150lbs and must be shipped freight. Our shopping cart will not calculated the cost for freight, we will contact you after the order is placed for options or contact us for a quote.
• Actual delivery may vary based on workload, contact us for a more accurate delivery time or if you need it sooner.

Warranty:

• SuperDroid Robots will repair any manufacturing defects for 1 Year after shipment. Damage from abuse or neglect will not be covered. Warranty work performed by SuperDroid Robots in West Chicago, IL. Warranty does not include shipping. Additional warranty options are available upon request.
• Consumable items will not be covered by the warranty. Consumable items include, but are not limited to treads, chains, bearings, wheels, and batteries.
• Extended warranties, spare parts, and maintenance training is available, contact us with specific needs. Service agreements are also available.
