These Planetary Gearboxes are nominally 32mm in diameter with permanent magnet reversible DC motors. We carry 12VDC and 24VDC motors and range from 8 to 265 RPM. Several right angle gearboxes. Several motors have encoders.

These specifications are listed with the "rated" values (these are the values where the motor runs at peak efficiency). The motors can deliver considerably more than their rated values, refer to datasheet in image gallery for more information.

  • Reduction Ratio: 1:71
  • Rated Torque: 8.0 kgf-cm
  • Rated Speed: 74.5 RPM
  • No Load Current: < 130mA
  • Dual Channel/Quadrature Encoder mounted to tail shaft of motor. See datasheet in image gallery. (Each channel requires a 1k pull up resitor to Vcc as shown on datasheet.) This pull up board can be used in-line, providing the required pull-ups to Vcc for channel A and channel B.

Recommendations

We recommend controlling the motors with one of our motor speed controllers. See our motor controller support page for more information. We also recommend you use our wiring kit to wire your motors. The hookup kit will help suppress the electronic noise generated from any DC motor. See our motor wiring support page for more information.

 



 These brushed permanent magnet DC gear motors have a rated speed of 74.5 RPM and a gear reduction of 1:71. They feature encoders and work great on our robots as well as your own applications.
