These massive heavy duty planetary gear motors are 90mm in diameter and built to deliver incredible power for your large scale robots!  The motors are made with steel gears and ball bearings. They weigh about 11.5lbs each.

We recommend controlling the motors with the Sabertooth 2x60 Motor controller or a SyRen 50.  See our motor controller support page for more information. The table below lists its characteristics. The datasheet below show the current and torque curves and the gear motor's dimensions.  Don't be fooled by the picture, these are big gear motors. The motor's peak output is about 250Watts of power or about 1/3 HP.  They utilize a 1:52 gear reduction. The gear motor is 24VDC.

These gear motors are equipped with a tail shaft coming out of the back of the motor for attaching an encoder if desired.   The tail shaft is 5mm in diameter and sticks out 14mm.  Refer to the image below.
