All Terrain Robot RC Kit

This is our Radio Controlled (RC) ATR kit. It is an extremely rugged well built robot. The wheels are axle mounted and are supported using sealed ball bearings. The motors allow this robot to climb walls. The base has lots of predrilled holes, etc for mounting your electronics. The kit provides you with what you need to make a great All-Terrain radio controlled robot. There are a lot of options and additions you can select, the links of all the items are included below. Battery Options:

For the motor batteries, you can choice either of these 24V batteries. We recommend the 3500mAHr battery pack for the large motors.

RC Controller:

For the RC Controllers, you can choice any of these controllers. You need 2 channels to control the robot drive functions. If you plan on adding camera pan and tilt or other options you should get the 4 channel controller. If you want to control lights or other functions, you should get a higher channel radio. Our digital QPCM (Quick Pulse Controlled Modulation systems offer better stability around noisy motors and feature fail safe modes for when the receiver is out of range.

RC interface package:

The RC interface takes the RC receiver signal and drives the motors, servos, outputs, etc. We now offer different options for this control interface. The MD22 Devantech Dual Motor Driver is an all in one package. It interprets the RC signal and has a 2 channel motor controller on board. We have also developed our own RC interface board. The RC interface offers better noise filtering and lost signal handling dramatically increasing the effective range and control over the MD22. Additionally it drives relays so you can drive high current loads with the RC such as a motor (fwd/off/rev) and or lights (on/off)

MD22 Electrical enclosure and cooling:

If you are going to use the MD22 controller option, we recommend an enclosure with a cooling fan. It protects the motor controller, it cools the motor controller, and it helps isolate electrical noise. The electrical box comes with the optional fan mounted.

Assembly:

You receive access to our fully illustrated manual that helps you assemble the robot. If you wish you can have us assemble the robot. Assembly does not include assembly of the RC interface. Select and Assembled RC Interface (RC interface option 5-7). Assembly will include all the wiring and mechanical assembly.
