We came up with product to provide an affordable PWM motor controller. These have three inputs: direction, brake, PWM. They include two large 2 position terminmals for the motor and input power. The terminals will accept up to 12AWG wire. The brake and direction have pull down resistors on them so, if desired, you do not need to hook them up - saving IO. There are also two solder holes for the thermal flag and current sensing output.
The PWM will handle between 12-55VDC input and drive 3A continoulsy and handle surges up to 6A. There is a 4 pin header for direction, brake, PWM input, and ground. These boards use the LMD18200 chip with a heat sink. The board is compact measuring only 1.25" x 2.5" and includes 4 mounting holes that will accept a #4 machine screw. We have also included a small 3A slow blow fuse.
The board is a kit. All the components are top mounted, spaced out at least 0.1", and through hole (no surface mount) for easy soldering. You can also take the option to get this board assembled by us.

The InvenSense MPU-6050 sensor contains an accelerometer and a gyroscope in a single chip. It is very accurate, this sensor is used in self balancing robots, drones, smartphones, etc. The sensor uses the I2C-bus to interface with microcontroller.
