Camera 360 and Arduino Uno

I bought a Camera 360 Pan and 180 Tilt System - HeavyDuty (WC-003-500) and I make it work with an Arduino Uno. It works very well on my workbench.

However, when I installed the Pan and Tilt on my robot, every time the robot’s motors turned, the pan/tilt started shaking like crazy. Since the code for my Arduino was the same, I started looking at the wiring, everything seemed good.

Finally, I did a test that gave me a clue. I hooked up the pan and tilt to a different setup than my robot (no power, no communication coming from the robot), but I left the Pan and Tilt next to my robot. Same problem! Every time my motors turn, the pan/tilt shakes. The problem seems to be coming from the induction created by the DC motors!

So I want to know if you have an idea how to solve this problem. I’m using 2xIG52-04 24VDC 082 RPM Gear Motor with Encoder (TD-045-082) with a Sabertooth Dual 25A Motor Driver (TE-091-225) to control my robot.

You need to look into things like using shielded wires, making sure you don’t have ground loops, have a good power source (if motors are drawing the batteries down and affecting the regulator for the servos. The servos should be on their own regulator (the regulator from the Arduino or the Sabertooth is not sufficient for the HD pan and tilt - the heavy duty pan and tilt can draw up to 3 or more amps since it used 2 heavy duty sail winch servos.
