Documentation and Support
This a high quality 2 axis joystick with a plastic boot. Spring return to center (springs can be removed). Each Axis is attached to a 5k ohm linear potentiometer. The potentiometers mounted on the gimbals are adjustable to adjust the center point. The joysticks move 50 degrees in each direction and utilize the full range of 5K ohm potentiomenter for maximum sensitivity.
This a high quality 2 axis joystick with a platic boot. Spring return to center (springs can be removed). If you plan on removing the springs a rubber boot will act on the joystick slightly, this plastic boot has no resistance on the joystick.
The potentiometer travels full range ~0k to ~5k with full travel of joystick with ~2.5k in the center. (If you hook ground to one leg, 5V to the other leg, you will get a 0-5V analog output on the middle sweeper arm, with 2.5V in the center position.) IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO METER THE POTENTIOMETERS WITH A OHM METER BEFORE JUST HOOKING UP VOLTAGE. IF HOOKED UP WRONG, THEY WILL BE DAMAGED. (Typically, the middle leg is the sweeper and the outsides are the two sides of the pot. Measuring the resistance between them determines this. Its 5K ohms between the outsides; 2.5K from center to either side and as you move the joystick it varies.)
Includes plastic boot and flange with mounting screws as shown in picture.
