This is a 6 cell (7.2VDC) 1500mAhr Rechargeable NiMH battery pack.� These�are used to power the Trekker Fire Fighting Fan, but can have many other uses too.� Radio Shack sells a 5 hour charger for this (Catalog #: 23-333).� The plug that comes with the battery will not plug directly into a Radio Shack charger so the optional battery pack connectors (Radio Shack Catalog # 23-444) can be purchased.� The connectors also make unplugging the battery and charging it with the Radio Shack charger easier.� The optional connectors also come with an inline 7A fuse and holder.

As another option you can select to get 15A connectors for the batteries.� The connectors are sometimes referred to as dean connectors.� They can be soldered/crimped onto the wire ends and offer a great way of disconnecting the batteries for charging, etc.

The batteries are NiMH so they do not have the memory issues common with NiCad battery packs.� The batteries are arranged in a 2x3 array of AA batteries interconnected via soldered strips and covered with a PVC wrapping.� Two wire leads extend out of the pack.�
