Treaded/Tracked Robots
Besides looking awesome, track robots that use treads instead of wheels deliver greater traction and reduce slippage, especially on rough, uneven terrain. Additionally, tracks have a lower ground pressure than wheels and are better suited for soft surfaces like snow, so you get less sinking. Even indoors, say in a robot battle competition, tracks give you more traction, providing better acceleration and making it easier to push your robot opponents.
