About the SuperDroid Bot Builder
Bot Builder is an interactive assembly designer for robotics hardware. Start from a motor or sheet part, mate faces one at a time, and let the engine derive fasteners, load-path checks, SendCutSend DFM validation, a priced bill of materials, and exportable STEP geometry while the design is still early.
Bottom-up assembly
Ground the first component at the origin, then attach motors, brackets, sheets, bearings, and electronics by face mates. The mate graph keeps the structure editable as the design grows.
Fasteners and load path
Bolted interfaces synthesize screws and related hardware. Closed-form load-path checks flag plate bending, bolt shear and bearing, and other first-principles sizing issues — not FEA.
SendCutSend DFM
Sheet parts are checked against fabrication rules such as flange size, bend length, hole-to-edge, and hole-to-bend so exportable parts stay manufacturable.

What does the Bot Builder create?
A positioned assembly from motors and sheet parts, with derived fasteners, load-path and DFM checks, a priced BOM, and STEP or URDF export.
How do parts connect in the Bot Builder?
You mate parts face-to-face in a bottom-up assembly tree. The engine places geometry from those mates and synthesizes fasteners at bolted interfaces.
Does the Bot Builder use FEA for stress analysis?
No. Load-path checks use closed-form first-principles sizing for plate bending, bolt shear and bearing, and related interface checks — not finite element analysis.
Can I export parts for fabrication?
Yes. Download a fused assembly STEP for viewing, individual sheet-part STEP files for SendCutSend, or a URDF package for simulation.
